Fitness Park: best gyms in Valencia?

Fitness Park Valencia is one of the premier workout clubs in the city of Valencia, says Colin Duncan. In fact, he was so impressed he signed up for a membership…

Fitness Park Valencia is one of the premier workout clubs in the city of Valencia. With 298 Fitness Park Clubs and more than 1,000,000 Fitness Park members around the world, there aren’t many gyms that compare to them. Each club has at least 1,800 square metres of space for whatever type of training pleases you. There are weight training areas that have free or guided weight machines and dumbbells. The cardio area has various treadmills, stationary bikes, elliptical trainers, and more. There is also a cross-training space designed for high-intensity interval training (HIIT).

Think local, act global

Fitness Park has four locations in Valencia, with a brand new club opening soon, all located within a five-mile radius of one another. These locations are extremely high-end but at the same time very affordable. They include Ruzafa, Cabanyal and the Aqua Centre near Grao. When you initially sign up, you will be paying 27€ for every four weeks, which is less than 1€ each day, as they point out. Once you sign up for a membership, you will have complete access to all 298 Fitness Park Clubs all over the world. In Spain alone, they have clubs in the following locations:

  • Valencia
  • Barcelona
  • Marid
  • Galicia
  • Basque Country (País Vasco)
  • Murcia
  • Aragón
  • Andalucia
  • Cantabria
  • Canary Isles

So when you travel, you can maintain your regime. Each of these clubs is open seven days a week, 365 days a year, from 6 AM to 1 AM, to ensure that you are able to reach your fitness goals regardless of your schedule.

State-of-the-art equipment

Every club is decked out in state-of-the-art equipment with the highest quality. The team behind Fitness Park carefully picks out only the best fitness equipment suppliers to ensure that their members will only have the best, they tell me. They purchase the equipment from brands such as Technogym Pure Strength, Hammer Strength and ELEIKO, three of the industry standards for fitness equipment.

There are various group and private training sessions that Fitness Park offers, including a 60-minute, 45-minute, and 30-minute class. You can choose between weightlifting, cardio training, CrossFit training, and a mix of all three for each group training session.

One of the main reasons most individuals attend a gym is for bodybuilding. This is a discipline that focuses on developing and maintaining an individual’s muscle mass through any form of exercise, but mostly weightlifting.

In corpore sano, mens sana

Fitness Park believes that members who enjoy bodybuilding do it for many reasons such as developing increased physical strength through muscle growth, looking better and more “cut” or “ripped”, reducing overall body fat, strengthening bone density through progressive loads. This will increase your self-confidence so as to not only better your physical health but your mental health as well.

Another main focus at Fitness Park is to better your cardiovascular health through training. This allows you to work on your resistance and also lose weight because cardio training allows you to lose calories. They believe their members do cardiovascular training to get started in athletics or to just increase their resistance levels. Everybody starts at their own pace and intensity so try not to compare yourself to others. Cardiovascular exercise helps you lose weight, regulate your body mass index (BMI), become more “ripped”, improve balance and reflexes, and prevent any cardiovascular diseases that may arise.

It’s doubtful that you’ll find a gym that is as good of quality at such a good price in Valencia. The staff are extremely pleasant and ready to help with whatever problem you may run into. And the culture is absolutely outstanding. In fact, no money exchanged hands for this glowing review. I was so impressed that I parted hands with my own hard-earned for a membership while here in Valencia. I can’t give a better endorsement than that…
