Photography Competition – Fighting Exclusion And Xenophobia In Valencia

Your mission – should you choose to accept it – is to submit a photo showing diversity in Valencia to Culturas Unidas by THIS Friday, 1 October, to be judged by professional photographers and the organising committee of the organisation. By Eugene Costello

Culturas Unidas is a wonderful organisation that aims to erode barriers between different immigrant cultures and communities, primarily by focusing on helping children of various backgrounds to study, play and learn together.

They began their Concurso de Fotografía – Photography Competition – last year and it is running again this year. They are seeking representations of diversity, the only stipulation being that it must be an original photo and it must have been taken in Spain.

The deadline for submission is this Friday, 1 October.

Entries will then be judged by professional photographers and the organising committee of the organisation, and the shortlist of 30, plus the winning entry, will be announced and displayed on 14 October. It’s a great chance to showcase your work – and, even better, the winner will receive €200. What are you waiting for?
